Landscapes made to be lived in.
Conway Landscape Studio designs gardens, rooftops, campuses and public spaces across Chicago and the Midwest. We work from the ground up: soil, water, light and the way people move through a place.
Every project is planted to grow better over decades, not just to look finished on opening day.

Studio
A small practice in the West Loop, working on places large and small.
Founded in 2007, Conway Landscape Studio is a team of landscape architects, horticulturists and urban designers. We take on private gardens, residential towers, corporate and university campuses, parks and streetscapes.
Our process starts with a long look at the site and a longer conversation with the people who will use it. Planting is at the center of our work: we specify for the Midwest climate, favor native and adapted species, and design maintenance plans alongside the drawings.
We collaborate closely with architects, engineers and builders from early concept through construction, and we stay involved after handover.
Landscape architecture
Master plans, site design, construction documents and site observation for public and private clients.
Gardens and planting
Residential gardens, planting design, horticultural consulting and long-term care plans.
Rooftops and urban sites
Green roofs, terraces, courtyards and streetscapes on tight, complex urban parcels.
